The unfortunate thing is not everyone has a haste item. Bumlader has been limboing what he can find, but I can tell you from what I've seen so far there's been at least 1-2 placed in almost every wild zone possible, from each forest area to Kalaram, with two even all the way out in Dakuto (along with a zombie dog lol). Last bumlader checked he said there were currently 22 in limbo, and there are still plenty out there.
I am very thankful that they are DM-spawn only, though. Thanks for telling us that, it brings us a lot of relief.

As I said you do not need a haste item to outrun them. And dakotu /should/ be hard. It leads to a gelzburg level dungeon.

On a side note it is possible to outrun them with a haste item, I tested this myself. Ah, so thats a typo then... As for Dakuto... didn't know there was a gelz level dungeon in there... sorry.

The skeletons are slower than an unhasted runner, as I have said several times previously to various people. You asked for harder zombies and I made them for you.
This is a survival server, not a grinding server. Their power is something for your characters to fear, ICly, in order to bring SoS back to the original atmosphere of genre without upsetting the level limit we have in place.
If you dont like it then it is, of course, your right as a player to play elsewhere if the server does not meet your needs.

That viewpoint works when it's a portion of players complaining about something, but from what I've seen and heard IG, there isn't a portion of players complaining, there's a majority. Of course I agree with you that the players can go elsewhere if they don't like SoS, but an attitude like that can be cancerous to the server. There's only so many players left on NWN, and unless the player is a problem for the server, we shouldn't blow off anyone's opinion... Well, at least not until we've read through it. Instead of saying "deal with it," which is how it's coming across, perhaps these knights can be figured out? Aside from one player in particular, I've usually gotten the general consensus that people want the knights to stay, but with slight modifications. The general agreement is that if they are IG, there should only be a couple, say one in a southern area of ringwood, one in a western area of ringwood, and one or two in Dakuto. I think most players would agree that the fiasco with 2-3 Sirandan knights in every area was extremely frustrating. There have also been ideas (that I personally think are optional if numbers are limited) that people have been discussing: - Lowering the damage output.
- Lower their speed
- Give them a spawn delay like behemoths
- Used as "minibosses"

A big thing for me is people saying "there are a lot of people complaining"
I am seeing two or three people complaining and tossing in "he said she said". Please please get these others to come on the forums and sound off. This way I can get a more accurate view of the situation as I will be away for a week and a half and only have forum access.

I do not want to make them easy. I was not looking for game balance when I made these creatures, I was making them with atmosphere in mind. If I make them any easier then people will start 'hunting' them and then I might as well take them out

I have no problem with them per se, it does add the fear that used to be associated with zombies when I had no gear, that dissapeared once I had some.
Considering their location, I think Kalaram's a bad idea, because that's where most ungeared people troll about.
Apart from that I like 'em (in a way that I loathe and fear them IC?)

I think we can all agree the problem is the location and numbers. There's too many in areas they shouldn't be. Kalaram is the major starting point of most characters, and it's impossible to accomplish anything with the Knights in the amounts they are.
Either way, I'm going to continue playing on the server.
