For those of you wondering why SoS is still down even though we are showing interest in it there are a couple major factors in this, and the work being done isn't one of them.
1) I have some health issues that require the majority of my attention. Trying to host/admin a server at this point would be exceptionally stressful and time consuming. With luck these should be dealt with over the next few months.
2) Partially due to the above mentioned health and partially due to employment opportunities I have relocated from my old apartment to my mother's house. While the computer has come with me, the internet usage here is not as good as my old one. For a little while until we get all the financial stuff sorted out and talk to the ISP about the various options, hosting a server will take up too much of the small available bandwidth. My mother is not a gamer and wasn't prepared for a gamer's internet usage, I have to break her in gently.
Those are the two primary reasons that SoS isn't up at the current time. I just felt people should have a basic idea of what's going on, and to know that we are looking at getting it going again, it just takes some time due to real world situations.
For those of you still around, thanks for hanging in with us.

Okay... Tomorrow, This post will be a year old. There has been no activity on this forum for nearly a month. I understand health issues, I understand stress and I understand from personal experience just how hard making a module is... But come on. As players, give us something, -Something-. Even if that is telling us you're not looking to bring the server back online.

Sorry about the lack of communication. Bit embarrassing, I couldn't log in at all or access the email address that proboards had for the account. I've been back ad forthing with them for a bit and finally got everything reset so that I could access again.
I am still working on SoS. I can't host from my mum's house like we had originally hoped. It works, but the bandwidth usage is just too high. I'll also be honest with you, the drive to do it goes up and down with lack of people showing interest. Sometimes it feels like I'm making it for only two people, and in those moments I tend to question why I'm even bothering. I am still working, but I don't know right now when it will make it up. I'm hoping to have my own place with a net that can properly support it. Hopefully that can happen, but lack of work and money doesn't make that easy.
I'll try to be more in touch though.

Nice to see you're still around. *Smiles*
As for drive to continue, Well yes, there's been little activity. But I like to think that's because there's been little to respond to. There are still people viewing the forum each and every day, and as far as confidence boosts go it might be nice if everyone who is taking a look round took a moment to log in and say they're still interested.
