History : The Ringwood has always been there. An ancient forest. Some say there have always been druids in the Ringwood, others that they came with the settlers. Either way of it, the Ringwood was on of the first places "settled." The druids created a home within the South Eastern part of the forest, claiming it held the heart of the island. The rangers don't call any one patrt home, living in the various settlements, some seeking solitude within camps in the forest itself. When the kingdom was formed and the castle built within Ringwood the druids helped with the formming of it. As settlers came, many elves moved into the forest and created a small sanctuary amongst the trees.
Location/Appearance : The Ringwood is the heart of Siranda. The forest takes up the center of the isle and is the fasted way to get from one town to the next. Thetrees in it are old, tall and proud. Within the wood is relative peace, the druids, rangers and elves ensuring nature isn't intruded upon too greatly by those traveling and building on the island. In the north east a temple can be found, in the south east is the druid enclave. Scattered amongst the trees are small buildings, camps and even a lonesome tower. The elven town rests within the trees to the south west. At the center of the forest is a clearing that gave it it's name and now holds the king's castle.
Economy : Hunting, herbs and lumber are the main products of the Ringwood but these are kept in careful moderation.
Population/People : It's hard to keep track of numbers in the Ringwood. Both the druids and the rangers are constantly moving and the elves keep to themselves.
