I've been checking out other Zombie Survival Server, and a lot of them take place in Siranda- is this like where every zombie server takes place?

History of Siranda:
Originally owned by an admin that no one can remember, SoS was then in the middle of an administration war. Balor somehow got his hands on it. Balor dropped the server when all the players left due to dm abuse and because he couldn't pay the server bills (at this point SoS was run via company servers for quick resets and the like.)
Fox, a dm during Balor's reign took over the server and, while not as bad, also nearly ran it into the ground. At this point Avvy took over.
Before Fox's SoS remake, Balor had released the zombie survival server to the public via the ign vault. Thus, many sub-servers were born. Some took the basic sripts and made it modern D20, others stuck to the original mod with their own enhancements. SoS is the most "original" or "vanilla" of these many knockoffs.

"an admin that no one can remember", this sounds like a part of a cheesy plot line...
Some say that he will rise from the shadows to destroy all the counterfeit servers, and make the true child of his creation shine above all.
Some say he will send forth an ACK that will begin the programs to permanently destroy the servers he is displeased with.
Some say he sleeps, dreaming of how his module is used and altered, seeing every event and roleplay subconsciously play out, even ones in alternate universes.
Some say he cast himself in a wormhole, to avoid seeing his creation being controlled by Balor. Telling that he will return when the stars are right.

The first zombie survival server was ran by Ronin_DM, who we can accredit for the Siranda setting. His server was max level 2 with no EXP gained over time or by killing zombies. The only way to get to level two was to collect badges and assemble an artifact.
In this low level place the vaults had masterwork items at best and the spire was the highest level dungeon.
The zombie lord was level 6.

The original mod that SoS was derived from was called Survival's Dawn. The mod was run by Redblade, who's massive amount of DM favoritism in the old Siranda setting gave way to a plethora of people having overpowered super gear in a setting that was relatively low magic. At that point, in order to keep up, the vault gear and the spire gear was entirely redone, and the zombies were never upgraded, making the mod massively unbalanced and quite fun for the players. This is where the high magic ZS' roots lie within, as it was discovered here that zombie genocide sprees were fun and attracted players.
Over time, Balor666666 joined the server, and toward the end of its life, took a key role as a DM and a faction lord, and became one of a couple people (who all subsequently fell off the face of the planet) to be given the mod that was Survival's Dawn at that point, which he made some basic modifications to and stuck it up online for all to see.
Under his administration, high-level siranda thrived, the underrealm (no gelzburg, that came with Fox) was created, vaults were massively upgraded, and spire gear was so laughably overpowered and high level items were so easily acquired that the playerbase sat on top of an armada of overpowered weapons and occasionally rampaged up the spire for giggles.
Gradually, fox became the lead builder, introduced Gelzburg, threw a hissy fit when he didn't get his way 100%, demanded they remove Gelzburg, and they didn't, but the mod was dying a very quick, painful death anyway, so it barely mattered. The mod died, Fox's copy survived and he gave up on his own terrible module (which contributed some gear to new SoS) and admin'd for a while, and this part of the history is kind of effed up because I was banned throughout most of it, and Avvy and current admin took over.
