So out of curiosity, I was wondering how the DMs define cleric spellslot bonuses in SoS.
Are the cleric spell slot Bonuses closer to a blessing by the god in question, a "middle-man" to increase their link to the divine in question, or more like a way for siphoning power out of their deity perhaps? Wondering about how the DM team sees it.
Just wondering about this after seeing a level 1 cast a level 6 spell.
EDIT: No ill will towards the level 1 of course.

Its a hazy subject thats open to interpretation. I like to think of the items as spell focii, allowing the caster to channel more of their deities magic

Not a DM, but: The fun thing about it is that every character can have their own philosophy to explain the nature of the items. Given that the complete truth behind the multiverse would never be truely known by our puny characters. This allows us to have some conversation food between clerics and perhaps mages. If they ever get the idea to contemplate it in-game.
