Official Declaration



Mortal laws can embody standards; governments can enforce laws but the final task is not a task for government. It is a task for each and every one of us. Every time we turn our heads the other way when we see the law flouted, when we tolerate what we know to be wrong, when we close our eyes and ears to the corrupt because we are too busy, or too frightened, when we fail to speak up and speak out, we strike a blow against decency and justice. He who keeps silent consents and brings guilt upon himself.

The City of New Kalaram has proven to so far disregard these laws in its apparent try to let it become a better place. For the good of the people the divine law of lord Kelemvor has been broken again and again by the various people of the City of New Kalarm. The current Goverment has decided not to investigate these crimes internally, it has not done anything to stop this abuse and affront to life. Dark necromantic spells have been used on survivors as punishment. Dark Necromancers whom abuse power and slay innocent people, then do not get punished.

The Eternal Order will not tolerate the murders of innocents in the streets of Kalaram. The Eternal Order will not tolerate the creation of undead by anyone within the city, especially from the executive branch of the government itself. The Eternal Order will not tolerate the performance of dark rituals under the excuse of it being tolerable if inflicted upon the darkest criminals. We will not be intimidated by the power of Kalarm, its influence or the consequences that may be bestowed upon us. And we will speak up against the corruption that has infested Kalaram for far too long now. We will speak up for all of those who are afraid to do so. We will show unrelenting determination and no fear, in the face of this corruption. Kalarm must be healed. For her own sake, for the sake of her people and for the sake of all of Siranda.

The following there points are the initial steps we see for the Survivor to move towards a future that can be blessed by the Judge of the Dead.


1. The Eternal Order demands that those that break the divine law of lord Kelemvor by using dark necromantic means such as creating undead are punished.

2. The Dark Necromancers are to stop their dark necromantic rituals for punishing others and find a more suitable method. The soul of a being is not to be damaged, harmed, destroyed or punished in any way by mortal beings. The judgment of a soul is for Lord Kelemvor to conduct alone.

3. The criminal Lucien is to be transferred into custody of the Eternal Order, where he will be trialed just and fairly. The accused may bring legal representation with him.


Lord Kelemvor will judge all mortal men, and those that break the divine laws will suffer their rightful punishment in death. His divine law reigns supreme as he is the judge of all those that will stand before him and the Eternal Order is tasked to uphold these laws in the realm of the living. Until these points are not met the Eternal Order will declare war on Lucien and his allies until he sees reason. Farmers pray to the fair Chauntea for her blessings to bring a good harvest. Merchants pray to the glamorous Waukeen before their hard days work in the square. Sensualists pray to the beautiful Sharess to bring joy and pleasure to their lives. However all mortal beings will be judged by lord Kelemvor, if they commit an act against his law you shall need to ask for forgiveness and atone for the sake of your soul.

In the name of our Lord Kelemvor I do hereby declare The Eternal Order here upon the isle of Siranda at war with the Church of Bane for various members of their faith committing acts declared to be criminal in nature. The Eternal Order hereby offers a warning to affiliates, allies, and members of the Banite Church and Clergy upon the Isle of Siranda.

Due to actions of hostility, unpermitted actions against the Order - and blatant disrespect for the laws, these individuals are hereby labelled Enemies of the Eternal Order.


Additionally, any sightings of the Banite Clergy within vicinity to Eternal Order territory are to be met with a considerable, hostile force.

This shall continue until a formal apology is recieved from the Banite Church, and the involved individuals handed to the Eternal Order for appropriate punishment. Should this not arrive within due time, more direct retaliation methods will be considered and performed.

The paper would be of rather fine detail, likely from the castle, and the note would be written in a much more eloquent handwriting than that seen by the previous notes. The parchment would be of a fine ashen color, the print in a green font.*



The Church of Bane officially recognizes that the pact of nonagression is no longer in affect, and that our current messenger's notices have been ignored regarding the one known as Zenstone. It should be noted that the man had made threats on the one known as 'the Banite' prior to the above mentioned attacks, and that the one known as 'Lady Atiya' was requested to attempt such attacks due to the fact that the way the conversation had been worded, the Kelemvorite was highly likely to have attempted to kill her if it weren't for our staff's involvement.


It should be noted that the Church of the Black Lord has made no attempts at the breaking of laws, as all actions taken have been in accordance with the laws of the lands taken in. We are sworn to follow the laws of Kalaram as enforced by Lucien, maintaining religious neutrality to some extent, and that likewise we have followed the laws in place within Faeloth (Which are none at this time as you have failed to enforce any aside from a ban on Necromancy, which we will state has been kept out of your meager territories). It should be noted that Aeotvigar is not for those of goodly heart, as the underrealm is -defined- by the atrocities that have taken place there, and as such we do not hold our clergy responsible for any actions taken of up to fourty feet or more below the surface. Our sect is, quite frankly, abhorred to see such false charges filed against us regarding the breaking of laws. As such, we demand that a full list of the laws broken, with whom committed the crimes, and in which areas, be posted. If such a list cannot be compiled we will accept your formal appology in these matters.


Let it also be stated that the Church of Bane's Siranda Sect must appologetically inform the Church of Kelemvor that we refuse to acknowledge your declaration of war as you are not considered worthy of being at war with us. We do, however, officially recognize your church as being in an aggressive stance towards us at this time. In a bid of promoting communications while we expect you to end this pitiful dispute with us, the Church of Bane will recognize that Lucien and those he deems fit are officially sanctioned as a welcomed ally to our order. In doing so, we officially recognize that Kelemvorites and their sympathisers will -not- be tolerated within proximity to any establishment held by ourselves and our allies, and that such occurances will be met with hostility.

You want a list of crimes? Three accounts of Heresy and an account of blasphemy

Heresy:

- Lying to an Inquisitor. You lied to me when you said you were not getting involved with the war.

- Attacking a servant of the sacred Kelemvorite faith. You have attacked Zenstone.

- Aiding Heretics. You made it clear you are aiding Lucien in the war.

Blasphemy:

- Insulting a servant, its lord or the Church of lord Kelemvor itself. And you insult the church by claiming we are not worthy of being at war with you. Do I need to you remind of you of the time of troubles? Kelemvor was able to cheat Death, and Bane was not. Bane was slain, as you will be.

You said that Atiya was being attacked, you did not have to step in, but you did. How do you know Atiya didn't start the fight, and Zenstone was only defending himself. We are still taking that letter of apology.

I could argue with you for years Kelemvorite, but I will keep this brief.


Actions speak louder than words, and so far all I've, or rather the island, have seen from your order is infighting, cowardice, and defeat.


Either prove yourselves, or submit.

The Church of Bane has been granted by my order; one month to submit their public apology for their actions and to bring forward the individuals responsible for the attack.

Should this time pass without attempts at the above being made, the New Kalaram shall be thoroughly cleansed of such criminals and enemies. It is advised civilians evacuate the area towards the end of this month if this notice is not removed.

How many innocents shall the church of Bane risk in the name of their divine crusade and saving their own skins?
