*A medium-sized Earth Elemental ((Via summon creature V)) would find its way around the island, delivering a letter written in rather fine (magic-induced) handwriting to all who would look upon it. Eventually, a lantern archon could be found in various parts of Siranda repeating this same message for all to hear...*
As a humble mage in this recent war, I must state that I am dissapointed with all parties involved. I have lived on this island for many years, since I was born in fact, and in my time here those around me have served only to bring about carnage towards themselves. I would ask that all of you whom wish to see a conclusion to this fighting read on.
When this island was of one nation, before the outbreak, the world was one where anyone could survive. Through one great leader and his council, there were no wars, no infighting, no crimes based on the premesis of hatred towards a fellow being. Before the undead, all was fair, just, it mattered not whether you were Good or Evil so long as you did not attempt to change the others of the island.
When I returned from Limbo after a year of exile, I found this place changed, beings hunting for power, others causing rebellions. I was under the impression for a short time that one group had overruled the other, and that the balance had been disrupted. I initially sought to bring balance between good and evil, but upon seeing the effects of this war, I now realize that neither of these two groups could establish the balance so desperately needed by the survivors and their kin.
Hatred has fueled the fire of this war on both sides- there is no good, no evil, simply spite. Should this act continue than no good shall come out of it, only more pain and suffering as whomever wins will enforce their will on the populace even more. How far will either Lucien or the Kelemvorites fall in order to remove the other? I have seen atrocities from both sides that I never imagined that either could take upon the other. Are we not all brothers within this same plane? Are we not subject to life on the basis of life itself? Do we truly kill out of prejudice, hatred, and spite for one another in these times when we should work together harder than ever? This is not justice in the eyes of the island, but vengence, and if we rule, fight out of vengence, than will true victory ever be attained? Great leaders are not forged from the actions they took, but by the actions they didn't take. The leader who forgives the theif with a starving family, will be remembered for generations longer than the leader whom kills said theif. Even one such as myself, killed under false charges, tortured for no other reason than sick pleasure, split away from everyone, and everything I have lived for, can find forgiveness in the beings whom have committed these actions.
I do not ask you on this day to reconcile, as the hatred for one another runs too deeply. I do not ask you to forgive one another for the actions taken against each other, as I could not fathom either parties involved taking such an action...
All I ask on this day, is to think about what has been done to this once magnificent island, and strive towards peace between these two parties on this day. Keep your hatred, keep your animosity for one another if you wish, keep to your ways of keeping the others out of your territories, but do not endanger another being out of these prejudices you hold. I ask for peace not for the sake of your religion, not for the sake of your cities, not even for the sake of oneself, but for the sake of the island...
I, William N'witghen; Alchemist, Evoker, Conjurer, and Mage of Balance, do hereby state that should peace wish to be made between these two parties, that I will do everything in my power to ensure this peace, and that no party whom places trust in these endeavors shall be harmed under my gaze.
I hope only that you will take my words on this day with the ideals set before you, in that we do not have to get along, or agree, in order to be civil for the sake of this island and its residents.
