Brief History: The desert is home to many nomadic tribes. They would gather at an oasis near the edge of the desert twice a year for a big gathering that involved trading, resolving grievances, festivities, and various other things. During these gathers the oasis was a massive tent city and drew the attention of other people. As trade began to happen between the tribes and those not of the desert a few permanent structures were built so that trade could continue between the gathers. It became common to see one of the tribes in the town dealing with the merchants. For those few brave enough to travel the desert there were many sights to see including a ruined city, half buried in the sands. This city harkens back even further into the past and none know much about it's history or those who inhabited it, but it's rumoured that the multitude of sorcerers in the desert owe their blood to it.
Location/Appearance: The desert is located to the west of Siranda and is surrounded by cliffs that seem to break the clouds before rain can reach the sands. There are only two clear passes into Annedhel. The first from the Ringwood leading to the oasis village and the second leads to the shores and is harder to navigate. The desert holds many treasures, a ruined city, strange bones, hidden paradises, and other secrets within it's sands. The trading oasis is a hodge podge of tents and buildings, the mercurial nature of the nomads tents giving it an ever changing look.
Economy: Like many deserts, Annedhel has a unique range of products not found anywhere else on the isle. Certain spices that grow only in the heat of the oasis are highly sought after. Silk spun from rare silkworms is cultivated by one of the tribes. The stone quarry near the town created a fair deal of commerce as does hiring guides for those wishing to traverse the treacherous sands.
Population/People: The population of the town is impossible to tell as it shifts constantly. The desert itself is home to hour tribes and on barbarian clan.
