Brief History: With Baraban being in an awkward place for ships, the people had to find other parts of the isle to create docks. One of those locations was the calmer eastern shore. A small town was built and slowly it became much larger as more people came to it. Kalaram found itself at odds with Luca and Ludor as they were the only other ports on Siranda, and fights between the three cities weren't uncommon as they disagreed over trade routes, lands and contracts with the other towns. As it grew Kalaram grew an underbelly, it's sewers soon housing thieves and assassins. Men grew rich on the backs of others and it became necessary to segregate the population by social status.
Location/Appearance: Kalaram is by far the largest city on Siranda. It spans almost the entire eastern coast of the isle and sprawls into the Ringwood. within the high walls little of nature is seen. The docks have always been the busiest part of the city, a great deal of business taking place in the warehouses and the market square. In the northern part of the city the rich have their homes, gated off from the rabble. The streets are clean and well guarded. To the farthest south is the slums, dirty, winding streets filled with poor people and poor housing. Fights and all manner of unsavoury sights can be seen here, where the guard rarely travels. Connecting the three sections is the merchant's quarter. Shops, inns, barracks, homes for the workers, this area is what most visitors to the city see. Beneath the entire city is the sewers, a city of their own, though no visitors travel to here.
Economy: Kalaram doesn't produce any export of their own. They import everything and sell it from within their walls. Making their money off the labours of others, and the taxes of imports passing through their city.
Population/People: A very high population can be found within the walls of Kalaram, it's races varied from common to exotic.
