People moved to Siranda for a variety of reasons. Finding their places to settle and start a new life, with new riches. Baraban was the first place to be settled, but many people went further inland, and some landed in other places. The towns slowly built up, each hosting it's own needs and supplies. There was some trade between the towns, but more often then not they fought. The three largest cities, and the ones that fought the most, were Kalaram, Luca, and Ludor. The main ports of the isle these three cities were in constant conflict over trading agreements with the other towns.
The towns often bickered and fought through the Ringwood and finally one man said "Enough" and he sent word to each of the cities, asking that a representative come and meet in the central clearing of the forest, a neutral ground. The case he pleaded rang with passion. The island was their home, the people dying were their people, they needed harmony to thrive. The nobility agreed and a new argument began, who would lead this new era? It was the daughter of the Lord of Eledreth who suggested the young man be made king for seeing the problem and creating the solution. After many more days the nobility agreed.
The new king was overwhelmed and he asked that each town send a noble to join his council. The King's Council aided the young man in making decisions and creating the new laws that the isle would be governed by. A castle was built in the Ringwood clearing, all cities working together to create the masterpiece. The new king needed a wife and he asked the daughter of Eledreth to become his queen. , for she had shown wisdom and a cool head when all had been chaotic, it helped that she was very pretty and charming. The wedding party lasted a week and was celebrated across the isle. When their first child was born there was more rejoicing at the sight of a strong, healthy prince. When it was announced two years later that the queen was with child again, everyone hoped for a second heir but she gave birth to a daughter. The disappointment wasn't too strong though as the young princess was charming even in infancy.
This was a time of relative peace, the general populace was happy the land thrived. There was little conflict between the cities, and what occurred was dealt with in the courts.
